2011 Review: ServeINC

Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to be writing some end of the year reviews on clients I have had in 2011. I’ve been privileged to work with some great organizations and individuals and be involved in some really awesome projects.

One of the projects I worked on this year was ServeINC Willamette. Serve INC stands for “Serve In the Name of Christ” and is a movement of churches in the Mid-Willamette Valley Oregon that started when the churches got together to host a Mike Silva festival called Willamette Celebration (which was a project I worked on in 2010.) In 2011 they organized a community service project to paint and landscape two schools in Albany, OR.

Their goals are 1. Build greater unity within the body of Christ 2.Bring believers together for prayer 3.Show the love of God to the community through high quality acts of service 4. Proclaim the gospel.

I created a wordpress.com based website for them http://serveincwillamette.org/ , a Facebook page www.facebook.com/ServeINC, a twitter page @ServeINC and a Flickr account ServeINC’s photostream. And even wrote this nifty blog about the service project; Day of Service.

I also created the video below as an end of the year wrap-up of the movement.

I haven’t heard what the project will be in 2012, but I’m looking forward to working with this #socialgood group again.
